ITV and Slipstream Music have been partners for years, originally through Jingle Punks’ in-house Custom Composition team which has since moved under the Slipstream umbrella. Years of collaboration pushed Slipstream to develop a new approach to the classic “360 Deal” and offer ITV a unique opportunity to not only custom create tracks for their productions, but also share ownership in those tracks.
Through the partnership, ITV employs the Slipstream Custom Composition team to custom create hundreds of cues used throughout ITV productions. These cues are co-published between the two companies, allowing ITV to retain a portion of ownership of the tracks. Once the cues air in ITV content, the agreement allows them to be re-added to the Slipstream Music Player, giving the ability for other productions and companies to utilize the tracks. This added usage, all of which is managed by Slipstream Music, has created a pipeline of royalty income for ITV, allowing it to build out its own library of music cues and tracks.
